It was horrible. The room is so small and cleaning in insufficient. Daily cleaning and tidy-up room is insufficient too. You can not move in room. The bath is so small. While bathing all floor was getting wet. The breakfast was the same every morning. Only the staff was so friendly and helpful.

My wife and I spent the week at the Hotel Regence Etoile during March of 2024 and look forward to returning soon. Service was excellent, breakfast buffet was great, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and ideally located.

Stayed from Thursday to Sunday, in all a very nice little hotel. We booked a classic room, which did open out onto the main street, offering a limited view of the Arc de triumph, with no balcony. The room itself was very clean, almost spotless, and finished very well. We had a professional coffee maker with pods and kettle to makes drinks, if required. The bathroom offered a waterfall shower and ¾-sized bath, so options for all. The main room was on the small side, but this was down to the very large bed, meaning that to walk around the end, you did have to mind your shins on the corners. I would happily taken a smaller bed for a little more walking room. A double wardrobe with free safe finished off the offering inside. We didn’t take the breakfast offer, as at €18/person, I think it’s a little expensive, seeing what you can get a 2min walk down the round at any of the numerous patisseries for much less – our choice. Location-wise, I think it’s perfect. Easy walk to the Arc de Triomphe, then onto the Champs Elysees, and eventually the Lourve (around 30mins away) The Eiffel Tower is a pleasant walk down to the Trocadero, again around 20mins. From all of this, I’d have no hesitation to return a verdict of 5 stars, but there was one incident which did sour the experience. We arrived on Thursday, did a quick recce and them out for an early evening meal. Normally I’d change from my travelling clothes, but in this case, it was to go and get some food, and then back to the room to relax. We unpacked prior to sleeping, so we were all good to go in the morning. In the morning we left to explore the city, and upon our return noticed that the room have been made up. After showering and preparing for the evening, I noticed that my Hugo Boss leather belt that I had placed in the bedside table slot, something I only tend to wear in the evenings, was not there. We turned the room upside down, and could not find it, I called home to double-check I had not left it there and got another belt by mistake – this was confirmed. I reported this to the receptionist, who said she would check the room herself. After returning from our meal out, she said she could not find it either, and they had also spoken to the cleaner who had not seen it. All I know is I had the belt in the room on Thursday, and post-make up on Friday it was missing. I confirmed that the hotel should keep this on record should it turn up, but I’m not hopeful – shame really.

We found the hotel very centrally located, close to iconic landmarks, metro network, and restaurants. Hotel staff were very helpful and polite, premises and rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel contributed well to our lovely Paris experience, despite the short stay.
